Notice of Public Hearing: Land Use By-law Text Amendment
A Public Hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Administration Building, located at 932 Hwy 1, Hebron, NS, to receive input and comments on a proposed Land Use By-law amendment to add a definition of pet grooming to the text of the Land Use By-law and include pet grooming as a permitted Home Occupation.
You are welcome to attend the public hearing in person. Members of the public are welcome to submit questions about the proposed amendment to Madelyn LeMay before 12 noon on Thursday, June 23 using one of the following methods:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT at a Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, March 25, Council approved first reading of the Land Use By-law amendments described in Appendices F and H of the Sign Regulation report to Planning Advisory Committee dated March 17, 2026.

Notice of Public Hearing: Amendments to Land Use By-Law (LUB)
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT at a Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, March 25, 2056, Council approved first reading of the Land Use By-law (LUB) amendments described in Appendix E of the March 17, 2026, report to Planning Advisory Committee regarding site plan agreements in the Lakeside Residential (LR) Zone, with the effective date of the LUB changed to January 25, 2024.
In accordance with Section 206 of the Municipal Government Act, Council of the Municipality of Yarmouth intends to hold a Public Hearing to consider amending the Land Use By-law to exempt certain developments from the Site Plan Agreement requirements.

Land Use By-law - RV Parks
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that during its Regular Council meeting on March 26, 2025, the Council of the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth approved the first reading of amendments to the Municipality’s Land Use By-law.
In accordance with Section 206 of the Municipal Government Act, the Council intends to hold a Public Hearing to consider amending the Land Use By-Law to ensure that RV parks are developed in a way that aligns with community standards and to minimize negative impacts, it is recommended that Council amend the current Land Use Bylaw (LUB) to include site plan approval criteria specifically for RV sites and RV parks in zones where the use is permitted.
The Public Hearing will take place:

Land Use By-law - Proposed Rezoning
In accordance with Section 206 of the Municipal Government Act the Council of the Municipality of Yarmouth intends to hold a Public Hearing to consider amending its Land Use By-law.
The amendment to Zoning Map Schedule B of the Land Use By-law to rezone a portion of PID 90177270 and PID 90179276, located 177 Wyman Road from Rural Development (RD) to General Industrial (GI) in order to subdivide the lot and for the purpose to separate the existing home-based business from the single-family home on the same property. A sketch of the subject property is shown below.

The Public Hearing of Council will be held in the Council Chambers in the Administration Building, located 932 Highway 1 in Hebron, beginning at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
