Procurement is the process the Municipality uses to purchase goods and services. This must be done in an open and transparent manner. The Municipality uses a variety of methods to purchase these goods and services, all outlined in the pdf Procurement and Purchasing Policy.(311 KB)

The Municipality of Yarmouth will, from time to time, issue public Requests for Proposal or Tenders and other requests for which competitive responses are required.

Tenders, Requests for proposals (RFP), and other competitive procurement requests may be posted through the Nova Scotia government tender notices website:

It is the sole responsibility of the vendor to monitor the Nova Scotia government website mentioned above, for any addenda that may be issued to open procurement procedures.

Request for Proposals

The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth (MODY) is exploring the potential expansion of the Nova West Regional Business Park (NWRBP) by developing Phase 3 to support continued economic growth, business attraction, and long-term availability of industrial and commercial land within the region.

Building on previous investments and development phases within the Business Park, MODY is seeking to evaluate the feasibility of expanding the two identified land parcels totaling approximately 28.1 hectares (69.4 acres), consisting of one parcel measuring approximately 7.6 acres (3.1 hectares) and a second parcel measuring approximately 25 hectares (61.8 acres).

Requests for Quotations 

The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is inviting Quotations for the supply and delivery of “One (1) 4x4 half-ton truck”.
Quotations will be received before Thursday, June 18th, 2026, at 2:00:00 PM ADT, via email only at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. quotation submissions will not be accepted. An authorized representative must sign quotations.

All quotations shall be submitted electronically. Submissions may be made via a shared link or as an email attachment. The quotation submission must be merged into a single, complete document.
The municipality shall provide all proponents with verification that the quotation was received and was able to be opened.
The date/time stamp of MODY’s email server shall be the date/time of record for the submission.
No paper submissions will be accepted.

Request for CAO Performance Review Facilitation Services

The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is seeking proposals for facilitation services for the CAO's Performance Review beginning in 2027 through to 2029, for a total of 3 review cycles. 

The successful Proponent is responsible for working closely with the Chief Administrative Officer and the CAO Committee to develop an annual performance evaluation process. The final process and associated tools will be approved by MODY Council. The Proponent will then annually facilitate the process.
