Notice of Poll for Municipal and School Board Elections
As per MODY’s Alternative Voting By-law A-028-20, Electors may vote by telephone or internet connected device, anytime between October 9, 2024 at 8:00 AM and October 19, 2024 at 7:00 PM. An Elector’s Information Letter will be mailed out to residents on the Final Elector’s list in Districts 3, 4 and 6 ONLY prior to these dates. For further assistance or if you did not receive an Elector’s Information Letter, please call our Voter Help Line at 902-742-7159.
Electors may vote by paper ballots on October 19th ONLY at the regular Polling Station - Maple Grove Education Centre, 52 Grove Memorial Drive, Hebron, NS from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM
The Advance Polling days are Thursday the 10th and Tuesday the 15th of October 2024 which fall within the voting period mentioned above.

South Ohio Community Centre (307 Lake George Rd., South Ohio). Friday October 11, 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM
Faith Memorial Baptist Church (401 Hwy 304, Overton). Tuesday October 15, 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM
Port Maitland Fire Station (3310 Main Shore Rd., Port Maitland). Friday October 18, 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM

Municipal and members of the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP) elections: October 19, 2024
TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned will accept nominations for the following offices in the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth for which an election will be held on the 19th day of October, 2024:
One COUNCILLOR (1) for each of Polling Districts 1-7
AND TAKE NOTICE that a nomination shall be filed at the office of the Returning Officer, Municipal Administration Building, Municipality of the District of Yarmouth, 932 Highway 1, Hebron, Nova Scotia, Canada between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on nomination day which is Tuesday, September 10, 2024, or by appointment during office hours in the seven (7) business days preceding nomination day.
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that electors in the Municipality of the District of Argyle, Municipality of the District of Barrington, Municipality of the District of Shelburne, Municipality of the District of Yarmouth, Town of Clark’s Harbour, Town of Lockeport, Town of Shelburne and Town of Yarmouth will elect
Two (2) MEMBERS OF THE CONSEIL SCOLAIRE ACADIEN PROVINCIAL (CSAP)
and nominations for that office shall be filed at the office of Scott Surette, Returning Officer, Municipality of the District of Argyle, 5 J.E. Hatfield Court, Tusket Nova Scotia, Canada between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on nomination day, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, or by appointment during office hours in the seven (7) business days preceding nomination day. It is strongly suggested you make an appointment for your nomination meeting with the returning officer.

Revisions to the Preliminary List of Electors
Municipal and members of the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP) elections: October 19, 2024
The preliminary lists of electors have been prepared for the upcoming elections. The revising officer(s) may make additions or corrections to the lists upon application by telephone, fax, email, mail or in person. Electors may find out if they are on the list of electors by:
- Visiting the municipal administrative office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. from August 1 to August 26, 2024, at the Municipal Administrative Building at 932 Highway 1 Hebron, NS.
- Mailing your request to the Returning Officer, c/o Municipality of the District of Yarmouth, 932 Highway 1, Hebron, Nova Scotia B5A 5Z5.
- Contacting the returning office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. from August 1 to August 26, 2024.
